About the Group:
Founded in 1996 by Vijay Sanap, SOHAM Architectural Engineering Services (SAES) is an architectural engineering firm dedicated to achieving a design that maximises any project’s aesthetic and productive aspects. They have worked on many projects, from single-family residences and holiday resorts to retail outlets, fast food restaurants and high-rise group housing. They are one of the leading Architects and Engineering firms in Nashik city.
Challenges
The client had been in the industry for more than two decades. They have worked with many 3D Freelancers and full-time studios in Nashik and nearby major cities like Pune, Aurangabad, Surat and Ahmedabad. Nashik was always a small town till two years back, i.e. till the year 2020. Over 110 these years, the city has started growing exponentially. The digital thrust which India is experiencing also helped, and being just two hours away from Mumbai also gave the needed impetus. After a new Development plan in Nashik, suddenly real estate started booming. During that period, SAES faced many challenges from its Builders and Developer clients for professional 3D rendering work to market their projects. SAES worked on 3-4 projects from Ahmedabad-based studios, but service was the major challenge he was facing from them. One fine day Vijay Sanap saw our advertisement on his Instagram account and contacted us. We met him in Nashik, where he briefed us on his massive upcoming theme-based multi-building residential complex project. It was challenging as expectations were high. Having worked with many in the past, we had to raise our performance bar.
Solutions
My team and his team started working together to match the wavelength first. We had multiple offline and online meetings to understand his taste in work. Eventually, we gave them two qualities of deliverables for approval. He liked one, so our team was clear about what exactly he needed, and a step-by-step process was outlined. We started sharing the different versions with him and his team, first grey renderings, camera angles, and sequences. Work began to progress further quickly. Finally, the colour renderings were shown to them to get the exact look and feel of the project. There were iterations and back-and-forth communication during this entire process since we were working together the first time. This working pattern is typical when you perform it the first time. We must come on the same page before we can effectively crack the code to surpass their expectations. A few design elements were very tricky, and ready models were unavailable. Having understood the limitations, the team customized the models so that we don’t compromise on the quality of the project.
Result
Finally, we successfully delivered the projects in a straight seventy-five days period. The client wanted a three and half minute walkthrough. Still, after seeing the project’s outcome, he extended the duration to two minutes. That means a total five- and half-minute walkthrough. Such was the impact of our work, and since they were so happy, the client didn’t worry about the extra cost as the scope of work extended. Mr Vijay Sanap called me personally to thank my team and me for bringing out the best results. He was expecting premium quality, but he said you guys gave us “Ultra-premium quality”, in his own words. Even before completing 100% of the first assignment, he appointed Weaverbird for another couple of projects: Affordable housing and a premium housing complex. That’s the most significant achievement for us. Client satisfaction is essential for us since we are creative 113 people. The joy of creating customized work always inspires creative people.
